What is an Escape Room?
An escape room, also known as a “puzzle room” or “escape game”, is a live adventure game in which players solve a series of puzzles and riddles using clues, hints, and strategy to complete the objectives at hand. Players are given a set time limit to unveil the secret plot which is hidden within the rooms. Escape rooms are inspired by “escape-the-room”–style, live action video games. Games are set in a variety of fictional locations. At Lockdown, we offer more themes than any of our competitors. We currently have 18 themes with more coming soon! Some examples are prison cells, tombs, secret labs, and space stations. Usually, the various puzzles and riddles themselves follow the theme of the room.
Why are they so popular?
The game only lasts about an hour but the unique and immersive experience of escape rooms brings people of all ages, whether a child or an adult, into a different reality. Escape rooms are the perfect activity for Team Building & Corporate events, Birthday Parties, Bachelor/Bachelorette parties, Family Game Nights or Reunions, Date Nights, School Field Trips, Employee Appreciation events and even Incentive Programs!
Are your rooms private or will we be paired with strangers?
Lockdown is one of few escape room companies that offers private rooms, as long as you book a minimum of 2 players. Unlike most of our competitors, we never pair you with strangers or require you to purchase extra tickets to secure a private room. Due to this reason, popular time slots and days sell out quickly. We encourage our customers to book in advance to secure their preferred date and time.
Are there any discounts?
We frequently offers discounts and special promotions. These special rates are normally posted on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and through our Lockdown newsletters. Please follow us to secure our best available rates!

What is the minimum age requirement?
We allow children 5 to 10 to participate when accompanied by responsible adult. Children 11 to 17 can play the room unaccompanied but requires an adult to be on present at check in.
Are escape rooms suitable for children? Are they scary?
Children love the fantasy aspect of our room themes. In fact, Escape rooms are the hottest trend for Birthday Party and Graduation celebrations for kids ages 11-17. Our rooms are not scary. Some props may be similar to what children may see at Halloween. Please contact your preferred location if you have further questions or would like a room recommendation.
Am I really locked in a room? What if I panic?
Yes and No. Our staff will advise of how to exit the room in the case of an emergency. You’re always safe with us!
What time should we arrive?
We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes prior the your appointment to insure your group starts on time. The clock starts with or without you so if you arrive late you will have less time to escape!
How long does it take?
You will have 60 minutes to escape your room. How long it takes depends on your wit and teamwork!
What should I bring?
Bring a solid team, your thinking caps and a positive attitude!
What type of clothing should I wear?
There is no special dress code. We’ve had players wear formal attire, costumes, casual clothing etc. Just remember, you may need to reach or bend when playing so make sure your comfortable!
Are the rooms physically challenging or require any special skills?
Although there are some physical aspects, they are very minimal. Everything you need to escape the room is located inside the room and inside your head!
Do you offer packages for Special Events like Birthday Parties or Team Building?

Are reservations required? Are walk-ins welcome?
Although reservations aren’t required we highly recommend it to secure your preferred room and time. Walk-ins are welcome but room selection will be based on availability.
Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes! Lockdown Escape Room Experiences make great gifts for any occasion!
You can purchase a physical gift card at any of our locations or purchase an e-gift certificate threw our website.
Are your locations Handicap Accessible?
Yes, restrooms and common areas are wheelchair accessible. Please contact your preferred location for room recommendations so we can best accommodate your needs.
What is your cancellation policy?
No Refunds – All Sales are Final
We are a live entertainment business. Just like sporting events or concerts we do not offer refunds. However if you contact us at least 48 hours prior to your appointment we will try to accommodate a one time schedule change.
Special Event bookings, bookings made outside regular business hours or bookings that require a minimum player commitment require at least 7 days prior to your appointment to accommodate a one time schedule change.
Where are you located?
We have 5 locations. There are 3 locations located in Las Vegas, Nevada. We have a Hillcrest location in San Diego, California and another location near Old Town in the Scottsdale/Phoenix, Arizona area!
